Olive oil tasting with other homemade products

Hand-picked olives from the family groves, nurtured by sun, wind and rain, are transformed into the Latini family’s extra virgin olive oil.

Visit this family farm and taste the golden drops of extra virgin olive oil together with other homemade products from local producers, such as prosciutto, cheese and wine. Rent-a-Chef

Private lunches and dinners, tourist guide, organisation of excursions, transport services (van)

Istria is special because of the way its history, natural beauty and gastronomy come together, and Rent-a-Chef offers exactly this combination, creating a unique experience.

The food served is prepared exclusively with fresh ingredients from local producers. In addition to cooking, each guest is also introduced to the way individual dishes are prepared and to the richness of Istrian cuisine.

The dishes are paired with wines from Istrian winemakers, and since Rent-a-Chef is a licensed tourist, wine and gastronomy guide, guests can enjoy a complete Istrian experience - its history, food, wine and olive oils.

Wine Cellar Escape - Adventure tasting

Step inside the Matošević family cellar and surrender to the charms brought by the fruits of Istrian soil. Wine Cellar Escape is an educational, mysterious and entertaining guided wine tour that will delight all lovers of puzzles and wine varieties.

This wine adventure is designed for a team of 2 to 5 people and begins with the story of the winery, where guests need to listen carefully and pay attention to details from the winery’s history that will be essential for solving the tasks. After a tour of the cellar, the first tasks follow, along with collecting objects, games and rewards for those who successfully find the solution and the way out.

People are looking for an experience - and what better way to get to know the Istrian wine scene than through this unusual, entertaining tasting.

The program lasts 1.5 hours and includes an introduction, a winery tour, wine tasting, and interactive tasks. It is an adventurous and fun way to experience wine tasting, suitable for both beginners and experts, with a reward for the most successful participants.

Group and individual cheese tastings. The Latus dairy also features a shop offering products made from their own production.

Quality and tradition are the foundations on which Latus Dairy is built, and on which it does not compromise. The dairy has its own tasting room as well as a shop with products from its own production, where all lovers of cheese and dairy products will find something perfect for them. Through group and individual tastings, guests can discover central Istria.

The Chiavalon family farm specialises in the production of high-quality organic extra virgin olive oil. The Chiavalon family farm offers various types of tours that provide a better insight into the world of olive oil, as well as the story of the family, their history and their philosophy. They will tell you how they started as olive oil producers and how olive oil has greatly influenced not only the family, but the entire region, since the time of the Roman Empire.

A walk through the olive grove will guide you through all the stages of extra virgin olive oil production. During an expertly guided tasting in the specialised tasting room at the heart of the new oil mill, you will learn how to recognise the qualities of premium, natural extra virgin olive oil and how to identify it on the market.

In addition to olive oil, the Chiavalon family farm also produces several types of organic cereals and vegetables.

Family-run tavern in Istria

Tavern Vorichi is a family-run tavern where exclusively local ingredients are presented in an innovative way.

Every ingredient is carefully selected and comes from a local producer they know personally, so a single plate may often feature up to ten products from different family farms - each of them not only a supplier, but also a friend.

The same principle applies to the wines and olive oils, which are carefully selected and presented to every guest.

The aim is for guests visiting Tavern Vorichi to experience Istria through a wine-and-food story that reaches deep into our history, all accompanied by a beautiful view of a centuries-old vineyard, in the peace of an Istrian village surrounded by greenery.
